I know my Surface Book has a horrible time with Z-Order and opening My search here found about the CAPTUREBLT flag and layered windows, which I suspect are involved in my pointer issue. But if I press PrintScreen, it instantly inverts in place. Moving, but not always! If it stops not-inverted, I can press most any key, including the Ctrl key that draws (barely visible, not-inverted) circles around the pointer, and it stays not-inverted. The inverting pointer flashes constantly while moving, as if every pixel of the 3000x2000 screen requires a color update even though logically the display is scaled to 175% so the underlying objects are not so detailed. I never know which is the cause of my missing pointer. and of missing interim position updates and thus zooming way off in a direction I only wanted a slight move toward. This is aggravated by my Surface Book's habit of disconnecting my Bluetooth mouse randomly about every five minutes I have lousy vision, and find the Windows 10 extra large inverting mouse pointer is the only one I have a decent chance of keeping in view. ![]()
